A Legend in Her own Lifetime…..

Mrs. I. Thilagavathi, M.A., M.Ed., was born on December 16, 1957. She was a remarkable educator who, in 1995, with 12 kids and 8 teachers, set out on a daring mission to create a brand new school from scratch. With a vision in her heart and a passion for education, she fearlessly undertook the daunting task of creating a learning institution that would inspire and transform the lives of young minds.

Her unwavering commitment and relentless pursuit of excellence paid off, as the school flourished and gained recognition in society. She led the school to become a beacon of academic success and created a supportive environment where children flourished academically with her creative and student-centered approach. She encouraged students to practise virtues like empathy, compassion, and respect. Today, her school has become a shining example of what can be accomplished when passion, dedication, and a steadfast commitment to education are combined.

With more than 100 teachers and over 1800 students, SGAMHSS is a sign of her incredible journey to this day and offers education rich with all the hues of human values. In 2013, the Tamil Nadu government presented her with the "Best Teacher" award in appreciation of her accomplishments in providing high-quality education. With her 35 years of vast English expertise and being a soul of this black soil, she captivated all students' attention and served as a mentor to all.

With her blessing, SGAMHSS steps into its 29th year and will continue to remain a prestigious institution for generations to come.
